For this reason, the former butler of Princess Diana of Wales admitted to Risto Medgide in an interview with Journey with Chester how the divorce between Lady Di and the then Prince Charles actually took place. The decision of the spouses, who are destined to rule the country, did not please Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh, who, by the way, were more favorable to the daughter-in-law than to their own son: “The Queen did not understand Diana because she was from a different generation and did not understand the problems she had.. We don’t understand why he prefers Camille over you, and we don’t approve of her extramarital affairs.’. Philip and the Queen were on Diana’s side, not Charles’s.”
