Wandinha: Morticia from The Addams Family is getting a ’90s anime-inspired version.
Morticia becomes an anime character in art!
Vandinha was one of Netflix’s biggest crazes in 2022, breaking platform records and bringing a new wave of fans to The Addams Family. Although the production focused on the daughter of the family, played by Jenna Ortega, some of the other characters in the production fell in love with the audience, as was the case with Morticiatested in the series Catherine Zeta-Jones. The Khanavbara artist imagined what the character would look like if the production were anime from the 90s.
The art has been published on tumblr artist and show Morticia with a face very inspired Sailor Moon and other works of that time with large eyes and small lips. Plus, the character still has her black dresssomething that gives a great contrast to the landscape very colorful on the back. Finally the image is written “Men like you have no idea what it’s like not to believe in you.”
In addition to Morticia, the artist has previously also envisioned Vandinha and Enid in 90s anime, even recreating the iconic prom scene that became a meme. The series shows Vandinha directed against her will school never againplace, where Vampires, Seers and Werewolves can learn and can feel more comfortable. Trying to escape from this place, she decides to unravel the mystery of a series of murders that could lead to the discovery of great secrets in this region.
In January of this year, Vandinha was officially extended to second seasonwhich does not yet present a forecast for publication.
