To most viewers, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s transition from bodybuilder to actor may seem unusual. However, the actor himself revealed in 2001 that the two professions have always been linked in his career plan.

The magazine in question (via ScreenRant) had an image of a muscular man in military attire with the news that “Mr. Universe to star in new Hercules movie.”. From that moment Schwarzenegger decided that it was in the footsteps of that person that he would follow until he reached fame.
“Bingo! I had my model! If he could do it, then so can I! I would win Mr. Universe. I would become a movie star. I would be rich. (…) I found my passion. I achieved my goal”- said the actor in his speech.
Arnold Schwarzenegger got his first movie role. 1970 3 years after winning Mr. Universe. It took twelve years on the road to land his first major role as conan in 1982 and designate your place among the known as Terminator in 1984.
Undoubtedly, the trajectory Schwarzenegger is an example of determination and overcoming for all. He really managed to overcome the obstacles brought by a youth shrouded in poverty, achieve his pre-set goals and even go further, becoming a successful politician, taking over as governor of California in 2004.
