Kate Bush shared a great message about the new season of Stranger Things. Stranger Things actively uses her song “Mysterious Hill”.
The first “episode” of the fourth season of Stranger Things aired on Netflix last week, with several episodes featuring “Mysterious Hill” in the main scene.
Due to its prominent position in sci-fi dramas, the song returned to the UK Singles Chart and peaked at number eight thanks to a significant increase in streaming and downloads.
In response to this news, the famous public figure British Music Icon posted a short message on his official website, mentioning Mysterious Hill’s “New Life”, thanks to Stranger Things.
“”“You may have heard that the first article in the amazing new ‘Stranger Things’ series has dropped on Netflix,” he writes. “This song introduces ‘Mysterious Hill,’ which breathes new life into young fans who love the show. I love it too.
As a result, Running Up That Hill topped the world charts and reached number 8 in the UK charts. I am very excited! “
Kate added, “Thank you to everyone who supported this song. I’m looking forward to the rest of the July series.”
He signed his message: “Dearest wish, Kate.”
Mysterious Hill was first featured in 1985 as the lead single from Kate Bush’s album Hounds of Love, and has held number three since its first release.
In 2012, a re-recorded version of the song was included at the closing ceremony of the London Olympics, later released as a single and reaching number six in the UK charts.
Kate Bush was famous in the spotlight, but in 2014 she performed several concerts in London, where she was on the “Mysterious Hills” list.
Highly acclaimed musicians tend to avoid showing their music in movies and TV, but apparently they’re already fans, which is why he gave Stranger Things permission.
I spoke with Wendy Crowley from Sony Music Publishing variety“Kate Bush is selective about her music licensing, so she checked the script page and pictures so she could see exactly how the song was used.”
