In his November 9 decision, Commercial Division Judge Richard Davison authorized a so-called third-party debt collection order, which affects one Cervantes account in London, two in Leeds and another in Manchester (north of England).

According to the representative of the award winners, Blasket Renewable Investments, the accumulated balance in these accounts, in which British justice intervened, is £699,000 (approx. 806,000 euros).

Thus, the judge once again supported the investment group’s request for compensation in the amount of 28.2 million euros, established in 2021 by the ICSID, the arbitration body of the World Bank in the United States, in relation to assistance to renewable energy sources which the government of Mariano Rajoy liquidated in 2013.
