A five-day strike in Renfa and Adif over the transfer of Rodalis to the Generalitat led to the cancellation of 1,548 medium, long-distance and AVE trains, to which a further 990 freight trains were added on 24, 30 November and 1 December. 4 and 5, coinciding with the Constitution long weekend.

The strikes were initiated by trade unions and coordinated with the Ministry of Transport, headed by Oscar Puente. On Cercanías trains, 75% of the current service is guaranteed depending on time slots and 50% for the rest of the day. Intermediate trains account for 65% of current traffic, high-speed/long-distance trains account for 72% of current traffic, and freight trains account for 25% of scheduled traffic.

As for medium-distance passenger trains, out of the 3,160 trains affected in the next days of the strike, 2,063 will operate with minimal services, which is 65%.

In addition, out of 1,636 high-speed and long-distance passenger trains, 1,185 will operate with minimal services, which is approximately 72%. In terms of freight services, of the 1,326 trains affected by the strikes, 336 will operate with minimal services, accounting for 25%.

The strikes announced in Renfe are supported by the General Committee of the Renfe Group and the trade union organizations of the Spanish Union of Train Drivers and Assistants (SEMAF), CCOO, UGT, the Federal Railway Sector of the General Confederation of Labor (SFFCGT) and the Union Railway (SF-I).
