The piece of information I’m going to give you is the Economics podcast. Independentproduced by Adio.fm and presented Olga Rodriguez. In this episode we interview Maria Alvarezfounder of the Ephimera and La Francachela restaurants and promoter of the four-day work week.

In the midst of the debate about whether the 40-hour working week can be reduced, statistics tell us that on average in Spain people already work less than this amount of time, namely 37.8 hours per week, according to the National Institute of Statistics.

Maria Alvarez implemented a four-day work week in her company and explains how it is organized. We asked whether these measures work across all sectors and occupational profiles. Does this mean higher labor costs?

About “I’m going to give you some information”

Each week we offer an economic fact and an interview with an expert who puts that figure into context. A program in which we are going to explain economics through data. To do this, we will be accompanied by experts in fields such as the labor market, energy or finance to answer whether it is too late or too early to have a pension plan or why there are differences between the personal income tax paid in each autonomous community.
