The US Navy has awarded ACS Group (BME:ACS) a contract worth over €2,669 million to complete the Dry Dock 3 replacement project at Joint Base Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

The contract includes some additional clauses, the implementation of which will increase the budget to 3,211.4 million euros, the company said.

Dragados has been working closely with the US Navy since 2021 through a collaboration contract to develop construction methods and technical innovations for the project.

The same team has now been selected to build this dry dock, which will be used to service future nuclear submarines.

ACS explained that this project represents the first major construction contract awarded under an $8 billion program to modernize naval shipyards in Hawaii and Washington State, in which Dragados will continue to participate as one of five teams selected by the US Navy. .

The panel, chaired by Florentino Pérez, stressed that this award reaffirms its commitment to US federal government projects, diversifies its portfolio of major projects in North America, and strengthens its global expertise in delivering large and complex offshore infrastructures.
