According to the Sinapi (National Civil Engineering Index) for September, Santa Catarina has the most expensive square meter in Brazil. In addition, the average cost of 1880.86 reais leaves the state of Santa Catarina above the national average.

Also, according to a survey conducted by IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics), the state also had monthly fluctuations of 2.8% compared to August. The increase is due to the increase in the share of submissions and adjustments seen in professional categories.

The southern region, led by Santa Catarina, had the highest regional fluctuations in September, at 0.95%. The remaining regions showed the following results: 0.52% (North), 0.42% (Northeast), 0.27% (Southeast) and 0.42% (Midwest).
Sinapi was 0.44% in September, down 0.14 percentage points from the August rate of 0.58% and the lowest since July 2020. The rate accumulated over the past 12 months has risen to 13.11%. Considering only the current year, it is set at 10.22%.
The cost of construction in the country per square meter rose to R$ 1,699.19, of which R$ 999.96 was for materials and R$ 669.23 for labor.
The share of materials was 0.53%, which is a percentage lower than in the previous month (0.69%), as well as in September 2021 (1.21%), by 0.16 and 0.68 percentage points, respectively. September’s figure was the second lowest in 2022, surpassing only March’s figure.
The labor force, with a coefficient of 0.31%, decreased by 0.11 percentage points compared to the previous month (0.42%), while only one collective agreement was observed during this period. Compared to September last year (0.40%), there was a decrease of 0.09 percentage points.
