O ND group organizes the “Tourism and Business Seminar”, which aims at a two-way approach between Santa Catarina and the Azores, stimulating the flow of tourism between them. And it also aims to create business opportunities.

The event will take place at Auditório Square SC, SC-401, in Florianopolis next Wednesday (20th). There will be guest speakers from the Azores, as well as from the capital of Santa Catarina.

The workshop is part of the Azores, Living Knowledge project, which is saving the history of the Azores settlement in Santa Catarina, which migrated to southern Brazil 274 years ago. The reflection of this colonization can be seen in gastronomy, architecture, religion and customs.

Today ND group seeks to spread and integrate the population of this Portuguese archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean with the people of Santa Catarina.

In the morning, the topic is “Building the paths between the Azores and Santa Catarina”. The opening will take place at 9 am with the word of the President ND group, Marcello Correa Petrelli. The following topics will be covered in the morning: “The fourth wave of tourism in Florianopolis”; “Azores Destination: The Tourism Potential of the Archipelago”.

In the afternoon, the theme of the seminar will be “Entrepreneurship: Business Environment in Santa Catarina and the Azores”. Questions will be open during this period and the following topics will be clarified: “Scenario of Santa Catarina for partnership with the Azores”; “Example of Ponta Delgada/Azores, sister city of Florianópolis”.

The theme “Technology and Development” forms a strong bond that together leads Santa Catarina and the Azores into the future, and will also be presented at the seminar in the cases “Digital environment and start-ups in Santa Catarina” and “Differentiated center to stimulate Innovation and cooperation”.
