Relief for the pocket. Workers residing in the cities of Natal (RN) and Mafra on the northern plateau of Santa Catarina have been able to request withdrawals from the FGTS Disaster Fund since last Wednesday (5/10). Exemption from heavy rainfall in cities can be requested from Caixa through the FGTS App.

Residents of the affected areas in Natal, according to the addresses provided by the municipal civil defense, can request a withdrawal until October 10th. The residents of Mafra have until October 27th.

You must have a balance in your FGTS account and must not withdraw funds for the same reason for a period of less than 12 months. The maximum withdrawal amount is R$ 6,220.00.

The request is made quickly and easily via the FGTS app, Meus Saques option, on a mobile phone, without the need to contact an agency. When registering a request, you can specify a Caixa account, including Poupança Digital Caixa Tem, or another financial institution to receive donations.

So far, 174 municipalities in Alagoas, Amapa, Bahia, Espirito Santo, Minas Gerais, Pernambuco, Parana, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and Sao Paulo have been able to withdraw FGTS from -for a natural disaster in 2022. How to request a FGTS withdrawal

The following are guidelines for workers who are eligible to loot due to a natural disaster:

• Download the FGTS app and enter your registration details;
• Go to the “My conclusions” option and select “Other withdrawal situations – Public Disaster” – access to the city;
• Send the following documents: photo of an identity document, proof of residence in the name of the worker, issued no later than 120 days before the announcement of the disaster;
• Select the option to transfer the amount to the account of Caixa, including Poupança Digital Caixa Tem, or another bank and send a request;
• The term for the return of the analysis and crediting to the account in case of approval of the withdrawal is five working days.

Documentation Information

• ID: driver’s license and passport are also accepted;
• Proof of residence on behalf of the employee;
• Electricity bill, water bill or other document received by mail, issued no later than 120 days before the declaration of a natural disaster.
• Marriage certificate or deed of stable union, if proof of residence is in the name of a spouse or partner.
