The city of Joinville-South Carolina hosts in September the 13th Intermash, the largest international exhibition and congress of technologies, machinery, equipment, automation and services for the metalworking industry in the south of the country. After three years of absence due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the event is back to move the steel industry forward. Contracts involving up to 300 million people are expected to be signed this year and must be approved within 12 months of the event.

This year the fair takes place between 13 and 16 September. and the event has become a showcase for big business, focusing on state-of-the-art machinery and equipment from national and international vendors in the fields of machining, welding, industrial metrology, industry 4.0, 3D printing, additive manufacturing and AI/IoT. solutions.

This edition is expected to be attended by 24,000 professionals from 400 cities and 20 states, as well as countries in South America, highlighting the importance of the event for the industrial sector of the Southern region.

Intermach 2022, organized by Messe Brasil, will take place at the EXPOVILLE – R. XV de Novembro, 4315 – Glória and will be open from 13:00 to 20:00 on all days of the event. Inside the fair there will be several exhibitions, technical presentations and new products and services.

The fair also features innovative machines and equipment for punching, cutting and folding. Metrological services meeting technical standards with RBC (Brazilian Inmetro Calibration Network) accreditation, traceability machines, industrial coding and product identification. CNC machining centers and milling machines are becoming more versatile and can be used to process a wide range of materials and products.

In turn, machines and handling equipment cover energy chain systems, special electrical cables, connectors, self-lubricating bushings, linear guides and drive technology components, blanks for processing non-standard parts and 3D printing. Intermach also offers screw compressors up to 20 bar, ideal for applications in industries where fiber laser cutting machines are used in the manufacturing process. The Intermach Technical Congress, organized by the SENAI Innovation Institute, will be held on 15 September in four groups. Bringing industry procedures into line with technical standards is becoming increasingly challenging for the Brazilian market. To facilitate understanding, ABIMAQ is promoting the lecture “NR12: latest version and new technologies” with subject matter experts Sidney Estevez Peinado and Ronaldo Gabriel dos Santos.

The schedule includes details of NR12, regulation 197 and regulation 916 of 07/30/2019, the economic impact of the changes and the new technical standards being applied. Speakers detail how the changes conflict with other safety standards such as NBR ISO 14119 and ISO TR 24119, introduce NBR ISO 13849-1 and NBR ISO 13849-2, and introduce new human safety technologies. The content is complemented by radar systems for the protection of a person / waiting and a “key-trap” – a PSPC security lock.

“Metrology and quality control in the metalworking industry” is the focus of the presentations that the Industry Chamber for Machinery, Equipment and Instruments for Quality Control, Testing and Measurement (CSQI) ABIMAQ is holding at Intermach. The 5th edition of Automation Talks, with the central theme of intelligent applications in industry 4.0, will be hosted by the ACIJ (Joinville Business Association) Center for Industrial Automation at Intermach in an environment that promotes relationships and business. The event combines business round tables, technical lectures or lectures on technological innovations, technological cases and participation in the exhibition at the collective stand.
