A train breakdown at Weigo left passengers stranded. more than three hours between the cities of Harissa (Zaragoza) and Medinaceli (Soria), on the Barcelona-Madrid route. Adif confirmed that at 00:10 an Ouigo train was stopped between Ariza and Medinaceli. The train left Barcelona at 20:38 and was due to arrive in Madrid at 23:30.

Wigo explained that his train had stopped on the tracks due to a technical problem with his train. Around 01:00, the company uncoupled one of the trains bound for Madrid. Later, another train arrived to transfer passengers who were unable to leave.

The first of the trains that went to Madrid returned a few kilometers back, namely to the city of Calatayud, from where it then moved towards the capital. Passengers on the second train were able to continue your journey around 3:00 am.when Wigo chartered another one of his cars, transferring people from one train to another.

On social media, many travelers shared a video of the incident and reported that they had been standing for several hours. The images show some of them exiting one train and boarding another.

Last June, Ouigo suffered another similar episode when one of its trains suffered a technical breakdown, leaving passengers stranded for more than three hours.
