A city that is growing every day. Anyone who knew Araquari in the early 2000s and drives today on the highway that runs through the municipality may not even know that they are the same city. At the beginning of the century, the city had a little over 23,500 inhabitants, and at present, according to the forecasts of the IBGS (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics), the population of the municipality has already exceeded 40,000 inhabitants.
Population growth has causes: infrastructure, job creation and quality of life. Large companies have chosen Araquari to establish themselves, and as a result, the creation of direct and indirect jobs attracts more and more residents from different parts of the country.
A privileged location with access to the BR-280 and BR-101 motorways, proximity to the port of São Francisco do Sul and Joinville, the largest city in Santa Catarina, are the distinguishing features that attract the attention of investors. In addition, the ease of installation of companies has led to the economic expansion of the municipality.
With breakneck growth, investment in infrastructure could not go unnoticed, and while warehouses, companies and offices opened their doors, streets, roads, divisions and essential services did not lag behind, but also were born and developed.
Construction of medical posts, school blocks from early years to secondary school and vocational education, strengthening security and basic infrastructure such as water supply, electricity and basic sanitation. All this was spread over the districts of the municipality with a privileged territorial expansion.
Accelerated development, population growth and the desire for even more growth make the municipality look for resources to invest in infrastructure, thereby improving the quality of life and attracting more and more investors and residents.
One of the main works for which a work order has already been signed is the paving of Rua Joao Luis Filho, an important road connecting BR-280 and the city center to BR-101. For these works, 27 million reais will be allocated for asphalting 11 km of the road.
This work is necessary for the continuous development of the municipality, to relieve traffic on the BR-280 and to drain the products of the enterprises that multiply on the sides of the highway. In addition to the mobility infrastructure works, the municipality announced the construction of a new ETA (water treatment plant) with an investment of 35.3 million reais.
The new ETA will have a capacity of 200 liters per second and also includes a collection of water from the Pirai River and a raw water pipeline, in addition to the creation of two new treated water tanks at Itinga and at the Center, with a capacity of 300,000 liters each.

The municipality will also be strengthened in other areas such as supporting artisanal fishermen in Barra Itapoca, buying vehicles and building schools, and paving the streets. This is because the state government authorized the transfer of 7.5 million reais in special transfers to Arakvari.
With rapid development, land grabs and housing expansions have also attracted attention, and keeping a close eye on the growth and potential of the municipality, Irineu Imoveis has further expanded its activities in the city. In connection with the growth, it is planned to open three new divisions in strategic areas that differ in infrastructure and mobility.
On the Estrada Geral do Porto Grande, the Moser division has 146 lots and Kögler has another 150 lots. On José Julio Moreira Street, in the Ponto Alto area, the Bandeirantes area offers 269 plots ready for development.
One of the main differences between Irineu Imóveis and Araquari as a whole is the investment in infrastructure and mobility. One of the major events was announced at the end of June with an investment of 69.8 million reais. The package of activities includes: work in the field of sanitation, education, fisheries and urban infrastructure.
