Ferrovial contract was signed in USA carry out a $127 million (€119 million) expansion of nearly 15 kilometers of the Dallas North Tollway in Texas.

The Spanish company won this contract through Webberits US construction subsidiary, with an estimated duration of 40 months, a period expected to begin next September, the statement said.

The goal of this expansion work is to increase highway capacity, thereby relieving congestion in northern Dallas and improving connectivity to Collin, Denton, and Grayson counties.

As part of the project, the Webber subsidiary will widen the existing toll road from three to four lanes in each direction. The project includes the expansion of the structure of 22 bridges, as well as the reconstruction of overpasses and the construction of new ramps, as well as the improvement of security lighting and the replacement of signs along the corridor.

With this contract, Webber adds 51 projects in Texas, Georgia, Virginia and North Carolina. Ferrovial’s US subsidiary recently announced the award of a $262 million (€230 million) contract to build a section of about five kilometers of I-74.

It has also been selected to build two $161 million (€142 million) Texas highways in Guadeloupe and Hayes counties and is participating with Ferrovial Construction on the $1,500 million (€1.273 million) I-35 project in San Antonio.
