The franchise owners claim that they are actually using a mixture of two vegetables, almost a pig in a poke. They justify that the floods that occurred earlier in the year caused damage to the lettuce crop, which is widely used in sandwiches. But this is the second time the chain has changed its menu in Australia.

At the beginning of the year, there was a shortage of chicken meat in the country, which forced the fast food chain to reduce the list of products for customers. The reason was the Covid-19 pandemic. As for the lettuce crisis, Russia’s war against Ukraine has also entered the menu, pushing up the cost of staple agricultural products. Not to mention rising fuel and fertilizer prices.
