The famous snake king Haroldo Bauer recorded a spectacular encounter between the sertaneha boyruna, also known as the black snake, and the rainbow boa constrictor in the interior of Brazil. In the video, they appear to be entangled as they try to survive.

“She really wants to kill and is able to kill both snakes. The rainbow boa due to the presence of a toxin in its body secreted by sertaneja boiruna, and the boaruna dies from hanging. This is how I squeezed my neck for more than 20 minutes. Even I choke on one of them. In the grip of the plague,” Bauer comments in the video.

In the video, two snakes are fighting for survival. “Boiruna is fat, the fagot is soft. You can hardly find an animal in this fat. He even has scales open due to the fact that he is so fat. This is a female, and she must have already laid about five or six large litters, eight to twelve eggs, and thus greatly supports the species in this region,” King Snake estimates.

Bauer notes that the sertaneha boiruna, or black snake, is widespread in the sertao region. For this reason, he finds it difficult to find other types of snakes in this place, because, in his words, “this damn thing devours everything.”

“But it also has predators. If a wild dog or a raccoon picks it up, it means that there was a boyruna. Because they kill her with the greatest ease. Perhaps it has meat rich in proteins for these animals, ”he estimates.

The battle between the two snakes continues and Buer notices that the boyruna is relenting, but is having a hard time dying. “If she dies here, it will be the first record in the world where a boa constrictor kills a black snake. The black snake has taken the wrong position and will pay with its life, because the rainbow boa does not let go, it is stuck in it.
