Luis Rubiales is again involved in a new controversy after some audio recordings with Gerard Pique became known. Now, according to El Confidencial, the President of the Royal Spanish Football Federation would use the football organization’s money to pay for a private trip to New York in 2018. José María Olmo, a journalist for El Confidencial, explained the controversy and confirmed that they have more information to reveal.
So the President used this money to be able to traveled with his girlfriend at the timeMexican artist Roberta Lobeira. He took the money to make a luxurious trip, fly business class and stay in a hotel located in one of the most prestigious areas of the city, paying up to 200 euros per night. Also, also paid all expenses food, drinks and car rental for six days.
The president covered up his private trip, stating that his trip to the USA was connected with meetings working with Major League Soccer (MLS) and with UN representatives. Despite being defended by the Federation, which confirmed that he spent three days preparing the meeting, Rubiales never attended that meeting, as El Confidencial’s journalist confirmed in “Eight Already”.
Since, as El Confidencial added, these meetings never took place, the President of the Federation could be accused of maladministration. Rubiales has now requested that the court in Pozuelo de Alarcón issue an order seizing information available to El Confidencial and prevent them from publishing new revelations.
More hidden contradictions
José María Olmo stated that they are going to keep writing and releasing new publications: “Rubiales was ready to do anything to kill his enemies in the world of football,” the journalist said very confidently. In addition, he added something about the personal trip: “The theme of the Mexican serves as confirmation that this trip is extremely private.”
