A 32-year-old man was seriously injured in an accident this morning Monday (18) in Poso Redondo, in Alto Vale do Itajaí.
At around 11:10 am, the military fire department was called to respond to an incident on the access road to Mirim Doce, where an accident occurred between a Yamaha YBR motorcycle and a Mercedes truck.

At the scene, firefighters found the motorcyclist conscious but confused and being supported by several people present.
During the examination, it turned out that the man had an open fracture of his right leg with severe bleeding. He also had other cuts on his left leg and right arm.
The rescue team immobilized the fracture and stopped the bleeding from the wounds. Due to the severity of his injuries, the victim was immediately transported to the hospital for medical treatment, firefighters said.
The truck driver was not injured and remained at the scene where he awaited the arrival of law enforcement. The scene of the accident was under the supervision of military police until the arrival of the State Highway Patrol.
