Itajai Children’s Hospital starts the reconstruction of a new building for expansion

This week, renovation work began on the new premises of the Pequeno-Anho Children’s Hospital in Itajai, on the north coast of Santa Catarina. Over R$900,000 will be invested in a new outpatient clinic and new offices to be housed in an old building provided by Semasa (Municipal Water Supply, Basic Sanitation and Infrastructure Service).

The renovation is expected to be completed in November 2023. The new structure will increase the number of specialties and the diagnostic center for examinations such as tomography. The invested resources belong to the hospital.

The new structure will add 1,800 square meters to operate Pequeno Anjo, the only hospital exclusively serving children and adolescents in Foz do Rio Itajaí.

Space provided by Semasa

The building is next to the hospital and for many years it housed the administrative offices of Semasa and Kazan (Companhia Catarinense de Águas e Saneamento).

Appointed in November 2021, negotiations for this loan began in 2018. The building is located on the corner of Joao Bauer and Rubens Almeida streets, in the center, next to the hospital.
