The civilian police charged a man and a woman with raping the vulnerable. The victim is a teenager, the daughter of the accused. According to investigators, the man had a “love relationship” with a teenager; All with the permission of the mother. The incident took place in Bombinhas, on the north coast of Santa Catarina.

According to the police, the relationships involved were concealed from the public and denied the facts. Throughout the investigation, police issued search and seizure warrants to collect elements indicative of the practice of sexual intercourse with the mother’s approval.

A more than 300 page investigation was completed and sent to the judiciary, with the man and mother charged with neglect of legal caregiving duties. The crime of rape of a vulnerable person carries a prison sentence of 8 to 15 years for anyone who has sexual intercourse or other libidinal act with a minor under the age of 14.
