At least three people were injured in Kireevsk in the Tula region, about 200 kilometers from Moscow, in a drone crash, Russian authorities said. The device could be Ukrainian.

“The Tu-141 Strizh unmanned aerial vehicle exploded in the city of Kireevsk, Tula Region. The drone was loaded with explosives,” he explained, according to the Russian news agency TASS. According to local media, a 17-year-old teenager, a 20-year-old girl and a 36-year-old man were injured.

The explosion occurred at 15:19 Moscow time and caused material damage to three apartments, in addition to those injured by shrapnel. Four other facilities would have suffered less severe damage.

The incident took place on Dorozhnikov Street, 19. Eyewitnesses report a crater about 10-15 meters in diameter and 6-8 meters deep. Damage reaches a radius of 500 meters.

This is the third drone incident this month in the Tula region. Two other craters were located about 10 kilometers from Kireevsk, near the village of Berezovsky and in the Odoevsky district. In both cases, there was no personal or material damage.
