An animator from Carreta da Alegria was hit while performing in a Super Mario costume at Caçador/SC on Wednesday evening (15). A man was crossing a pedestrian crossing on Avenida Barao do Rio Branco when he was hit by a car around 9 p.m.
The video of the man in the trailer and the city hall’s surveillance cameras filmed the moment of the collision. The footage shows that the man was thrown several meters with the force of the impact. Soon he sat down on the pavement, looking like he was in a lot of pain.
The animator was taken to the Meise hospital in Kasadora and released after undergoing tests. The incident was recorded in the Military Police Incident Bulletin.
The driver of the car told police that he looked both ways before driving through the alley and did not see the artist. The animator, on the contrary, said that he was going to dance at the crosswalk before the accident.
Carreta da Alegria from Parana travels the country with artistic performances in cartoon costumes. On the Caçador Net website, the company says it “just scared me”. The artist posted on the social network that he was fine and thanked the fans for their attention.
