More than 800 BMW and GM vehicles arrived in Itajaí, on the north coast of Santa Catarina, this Monday (15th) aboard the Eurasian Highway, a “ro-ro” type ship, that is, a rolling/rolling type. This is the 17th docking of this type of vessels in the port of Itajai.
The ship moored at berth 2 of the APM terminals. Among the vehicles are 390 from the German automaker BMW and 426 from the American automaker GM (General Motors).
Unloading at the APM Terminals site is carried out by SC Portos. In total, the ship carries more than 1400 tons.
With the addition of 17 attractions, Itajaí has already received 12,194 unloaded and handled 22,584 tons of Ro-Ro vehicles, which began mooring at Itajaí in March 2022.
The Eurasian Highway sails under the Japanese flag and is 199.97 meters long and 32.26 meters wide. After leaving the port of Itajai, the ship heads to the port of Suape in Pernambuco.
The last docking of this type took place on April 19 with the Canadian Highway vessel carrying 276 vehicles from the automaker BMW.
