A video of a baby hippopotamus went viral on social media on Monday (18). The recording captures the moment when the puppy wakes up and looks sleepy.
Internet users were impressed, especially by the appearance of the animal.
“It’s so cute and so ugly at the same time,” one joked. “It looked like it was covered in gold. It’s so big and in a few years it will be bigger than a regular sofa,” said another.
The hippopotamus is known as the third largest mammal in the world after the elephant and white rhinoceros.
The puppy recorded on video is still very small. According to the World Organization for Animal Welfare, they can weigh between 13 and 22 kg at birth.
