A 72-year-old man died this Friday (aged 26) when he was attacked by 40 crocodiles after falling into his family’s designated reptile area, police said. The incident took place in a country house owned by the elderly.
It happened in Cambodia, and the man was trying to pull the crocodile out of the cage. The animal had just laid its eggs when it grabbed the stick used by the Cambodian and dragged it there.
According to Mei Savri, Siem Reap police chief, the reptiles attacked the man and tore him to pieces. The police officer said the animals tore off and even ate one of the man’s arms.
The case with crocodiles is not the first
On another farm in the same area, a two-year-old girl was eaten by crocodiles in 2019, the police chief recalled. Siem Reap is the city with access to the famous ruins of Angkor Wat and has many crocodile farms that grow their eggs, skin and meat for sale.
