Mother’s month is over, but every year the fights between pet mothers and human mothers, especially on social media, intensify. Recently, Pope Francis got angry at a woman who asked him to bless her son.

“I greeted her and she opened her bag asking me to bless her son. But it was a dog. I suppressed her: “So many hungry children, and you are raising a dog like a boy,” said the pontiff. The hashtag #PaisdePet immediately flooded Twitter and became a trending topic on the social network. But, after all, why is “pet motherhood” such a controversy?
