Actor Sam Neill (“Jurassic Park”) announces that he has cancer: “I’m done. Maybe I’m dying.”

Actor Sam Neill, best known for his role in the Jurassic Park saga, announced that he had advanced blood cancer for which he was being treated. The 75-year-old actor will publish his memoir, Have I Ever Told You This? (Did he ever tell you this?), where the first chapter admits: “The thing is, I’m done. I may be dying.”.

In this book, the actor deals with various topics such as his long career, his life as a star and his holiday on his farm in ocean country, among other things. Neal initially went through chemotherapy, but when it didn’t work, he started a new treatment with an anti-cancer drug, which he will receive every month for the rest of his life, although he claims he does not have cancer.

“I ended up with nothing to do (…) And I got used to work. I like to work. I love being with people every day and enjoy company and friendship. And suddenly I was deprived of it. And I thought, “What am I going to do?”“Said the translator in an interview with The Guardian.

Likewise, the actor is very positive and encouraged by the treatment, and during the interview he looks back, recalling what he said to the doctor at the time: “I can’t pretend that last year didn’t have my dark moments (… .) But these the dark moments gave the light a strong relief and they made me feel grateful for every day and immense gratitude for all my friends. just glad to be alive“.

“I never intended to write a book”

Regarding the book he is about to publish, the actor assured, “I never had the intention of writing a book. But as I went on and on writing, I realized that he actually gave me a reason to live, and I went to bed with the thought: “Tomorrow I will write about this … it will amuse me.”“. Similarly, Sam Neill has been a great support to many people during his time in detention due to Covid as he posted messages of support and songs he played on his ukulele on his social media.
