Black Panther: Forever After Wakanda remains one of Marvel’s most successful films. After winning both Golden Globe and Critics’ Choice Awards for Angela Bassett as Queen Ramonda, the feature appears in the Disney+ catalog, reaching another milestone: Marvel’s biggest debut on the platform (via Variety).
The information was released by Disney itself on Monday (6). According to the company, Wakanda Forever racked up more hours of viewing in its first five days on Disney+ than any other feature film produced by Marvel.
No specific numbers achieved by the production were revealed, only that the achievement was in line with the company’s internal performance. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever After debuted on the platform last Wednesday, February 1st. This day marks the start of the American public’s equivalent of Black Consciousness Month.
