Late Friday afternoon (29), a 40-year-old driver ran off the road and crashed into an embankment. The accident occurred on SC-108 in the Rio Mayor village of Urussanga in the south of Santa Catarina around 5:20 p.m.
When firefighters arrived on scene, no one was in the car. The driver, who lost control of the car, appeared later and refused help.
In addition to firefighters, the car was removed from the middle of the road by the Military Traffic Police and the Military Police. Traffic was stopped for approximately 35 minutes.
After removal, the car was left on the side of the road and the lane was marked with cones and light signals.
