A 48-year-old man was arrested this Friday after a sign warning residents of a street in the Iririu neighborhood of Upstate Joinville that a neighbor could be a danger to animals (26).
He, for whom the civil police were investigating animal cruelty, was found with firearms and pressure weapons, five wild birds in a cruelty situation, and a tortoise shell.
The search and seizure warrant was issued by the 1st Criminal Court of Joinville following a positive decision by the 21st District Attorney’s Office. The decision stems from an investigation into animal cruelty and aims to find the pressure weapon that was used to mistreat the cat and kill wild birds.
Civilian police confirm that a man arrested by the DIC (Criminal Investigation Unit) of Joinville disturbed nearby residents who feared for the physical integrity of their pets.
