As the first joint official visit since the coronation, The Royal Highnesses traveled to the Apple Market in Covent Garden on 17 May and then to the Chelsea Flower Show on 22 May.
in Covent Garden Carlo and Camilla were greeted by a small crowd completely unaware of their existence. They started their walk at St. Paul’s Church, where they met children from St. Clement Danes CofE and spoke with members of the Covent Garden Community Association. Then they arrived at the Apple Market, one of the most famous and most visited places in the city, so much so that, according to mirrors, the rulers stopped to greet people from Singapore and Canada. At the market, they spoke to vendors and tried some of the products, as evidenced by videos posted to the royal family’s official Instagram profile of Carlo and Camilla smiling and dressed in matching shades of blue and light blue.
The second event attended by the royal couple was the Chelsea Flower Show. This is an annual event dedicated to the beginning of the warm season with flower sculptures, compositions, gardens and stands. The event will be open to the public from 23 to 27 May, but the sovereigns attended as a preview in front of Kate Middleton. who we know have a green thumb and a great love for flowers and gardens. This year some gardens are dedicated to the royal family, the late queen and the coronation. The royal tribute garden was created to “inspire a sense of calm and reflection on the monarchy”. Plants with light pink and white flowers reflect the colors that Her Majesty loved, while purple and blue flowers reflect the preferences of the new king, whose favorite flower is the delphinium..
