A cart and a load of cowhide worth about R$500,000 stolen from Itajai, on the north coast of South Carolina, were recovered by civilian police in Colombo (PR) this Wednesday (3). The theft occurred on April 24 at a gas station.
During an investigation conducted by the civilian police through the Itajai Criminal Investigation Division (DIC), the cargo and the trailer were found in the company’s yard in Colombo, Paraná state.
The two people responsible for this place were taken to the police station for clarification. The stolen cargo of oxhides amounted to ten tons, worth about 500,000 reais.
The crime took place on April 24 at a gas station in the Espineiros area in Itajai. The truck driver was overtaken by armed men and taken away to the town of Garuva.
The driver was released, and the trolley and cargo that were on that Wednesday were taken away. The police will continue to investigate to identify all possible involved in the crime.
