A giant snake got entangled in the wiring of a lamppost. The animal was rescued by a team from Acres (Society for Animal Research and Education).
Kalay Vanan Balakrishnan, head of Acres, said the snake may have risen to avoid the threat from urban areas. Despite this, many similar animals have already appeared in the region.
The snake did not pose a threat to anyone, but attracted a crowd to accompany the rescue. Kalai added that she used a pole to scale the area.
The animal was rescued and taken to a safe place. – Photo: Reproduction/ND
