In Santa Catarina, Florianopolis has established itself as the Silicon Island due to the centralization of the relevant technology companies. However, there is another municipality that also stands out for its cutting-edge innovation ecosystem: Blumenau, which has established itself as one of the 10 smartest and most connected cities in Brazil, responsible for creating 15,000 direct and indirect jobs in the area. Blusoft/ACATE, which has been operating for three decades, is an important pillar for strengthening the region in the European Valley.
In order to create connections, encourage new business and discuss topics related to market growth, Blusoft/ACATE has developed innovative programs aimed at finding breakthrough solutions to the problems faced by companies in the region. Three initiatives currently stand out in the organization’s history: +Devs2Blu, Entra21, and Hackathon Tech Recruiter People.
+Devs2Blu is a technical training program designed to accelerate your career at DEVFull Stack + English and unlock new opportunities in Blumenau. Entra21 is an initiative that trains young people for free in the necessary skills to enter the technology market, especially in the field of programming languages. .
Hackathon Tech Recruiter People is a marathon of students and professionals in the field of personnel management of the state’s technology and innovation companies. The first issue took place in April of this year. Initiatives are being developed in partnership with public and private institutions.
“I see the importance of Blusoft/ACATE in the process of strengthening the entrepreneurial class in the software/information and communication technology sector and in the training of personnel/human resources for this economic segment,” explains Charles Schwanke, current board member.
“I also see the role of Blusoft/ACATE in promoting the city and the region, creating new companies, maintaining existing companies, and attracting companies and talent from other regions. This is an important and strategic axis for the local and regional economy,” he comments.
Over the past 30 years, many companies and careers have changed due to the role of Blusoft/ACATE. With an eye to the future, the company will continue the mission of developing the municipality and the European Valley region.
