The mystery surrounding the death of 14-year-old Amanda Ewald, who was found dead by her parents in a stable in Pomerode, in the Itajai Valley, came to an end this Wednesday afternoon (23). According to investigators, the death of a teenager was fatal as a result of a series of injuries that caused a polytrauma in a girl.

It happened on November 4th. The delegate in charge of the police investigation, Antonio Godoy, stressed that Amanda’s death was fatal, caused by a possible irritant to which the horse was not accustomed.
“We came to the conclusion that what happened was an accident, it was a fatal outcome. The reaction of the animal to another stimulus to which it was not accustomed was observed. We found a tarp next to the girl’s body, she was tied to a rope, and this rope was tied to an animal. We think she should try a different stimulus, a type of maneuver, some kind of activity with the animal,” reports the delegate.
The researcher points out that the teenager had daily contact with animals and had a lot of knowledge about horses. “She knew a lot, participated in events, knew how to walk well, but perhaps this other stimulus in the animal could cause a reaction, fear, which caused a fall, resistance and, ultimately, a step. This series of injuries, this multiple trauma, led to her death,” says Godoy.
