During a visit to Santa Catarina, where he visited the Oktoberfest in Blumenau and Marejada in Itajai, Tourism Minister Carlos Brito met with Marina Itajaivoted last year as the second best marina in the country.
Marina director Carlos Gayoso de Oliveira and founder Manuel Carlos Maya de Oliveira presented the structure to Minister Brito, who commented:
“I can say that Marina Itajai is ready to serve tourists and those who are passionate about sailing, our job in the federal government is to increasingly encourage this sector to develop as much as possible.”Brito said.
As evidence in the national maritime scene, with large boat designs, in addition to being the only stop in Latin America “Ocean Race” the Minister also recalled the biggest regatta in the world, the importance of Itajaí for the industry in the country.

After graduating from the Faculty of Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing from the Faculdade para o Desenvolvimento de Pernambuco, Carlos Brito took over the Ministry of Tourism at the end of March in place of Gilson Machado, who ran for (and lost) a seat in the Federal Senate from the state of Pernambuco. .
