The balance sheet of the Virtual Police Station of the Santa Catarina Civil Police shows that since the launch of the online resource, 250 urgent requests for protection against domestic violence have been approved. The data collected is from April 28, 2021 to the last Monday (20) and Florianopolis is at the top of the list.
You can request an emergency measure through the “domestic violence” section on the website of the virtual police station. Since 2021, 12 municipalities of Santa Catarina have already used this tool.
The 250 requests submitted represent an average of 4.6 approved actions per day. Only in the last 7 days, 27 approvals were made.
Florianópolis was the city with the most requests in Santa Catarina, with 29 permits in total, according to the State Civil Police Virtual Police Station.
Approved requests were forwarded to police units for further investigation, and then to the judiciary, according to the civilian police.
“The new tool is part of the reconstruction of the virtual police station and is configured as another important service provided to women victims of domestic violence to speed up the treatment of emergencies that require immediate victim protection,” the police said in a statement.
