When enabled, it even covers different languages. This Wednesday afternoon (22) a Haitian woman went to file a complaint at the police station in Blumenau, in the Itajay Valley, and received help in French. An inclusive and curious initiative has been published online.
The victim, a Haitian who still does not speak Portuguese, approached the DPCAMI (Delegation for the Protection of Children, Adolescents, Women and the Elderly) to file a domestic violence complaint.
The language barrier could be a problem, but one of the civilian police officers, Rafael Maya, speaks fluent French. Maya gave this power in the service, translating what the victim said.
In testimony, the Haitian woman told police that her former partner punched her and cut her arm with a knife. The police assisted the victim and supervised the procedures.
