Two people died after a vehicle known as the “Carreta Hurricane” plunged into a 15m ravine on BR 259, near Governador Valadares, in the state of Minas Gerais, last Tuesday (7). Information taken from the Ric Mais portal.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the car lost control, flew off the roadway and fell into a pothole. From the impact, the cart caught fire, and two victims were charred.
The accident killed 49-year-old Carlos Rocha Ferreira and 23-year-old Anderson Almeida Rodriguez. They were the truck driver and his assistant, respectively.
Through social media, Expresso da Alegria distributed a note regretting the death of its employees.
“The Expresso da Alegria family deeply regrets the tragic loss of their dear friends and collaborators Anderson Almeida Rodriguez and Carlos Rocha Ferreira on Tuesday evening and is dismayed and deeply moved by the loss of two very dear people.”
