Businesswoman Maria Regina de Loyola Rodriguez Alves was elected as the first female president of the Joinville Business Association (ACIJ) this Monday (06).
Maria Regina was Vice President in Charge of the Health Banner in the current administration of the ACIJ and excelled in speaking out in support of government in the fight against the health crisis caused by the pandemic.
Highlight donations of respirators, rapid tests and 110 beds, 83 of them at San Jose Hospital.
The business woman is part of the family of leaders who led the ACIJ: she is the great-granddaughter of Hermann Lepper, founder and first president of the organization (1911-1915); she is the daughter of José Enrique Carneiro de Loyola, who led the ACIJ from 1991 to 1993; and is the wife of Sergio Rodríguez Alves, who led the association in 2005 and 2006.
“It is my honor and responsibility to represent a commercial organization whose members account for 70% of official jobs in the third largest economy in southern Brazil. And it is a great personal joy for me to enter the history of ACIJ as the first woman to lead the organization,” says Maria Regina.
A businesswoman from the textile sector will succeed Marco Antonio Corsini, who will take over as vice president in the new management. “Renovation is one of the pillars of the success of associative activities. I am extremely happy to hand over the presidency of the ACIJ to my fellow board member. The company is in safe and competent hands,” concludes Corsini.
